He’s basically amazing, if he comes near a fire (like the campfire you throw down to cook) he gets VERY interested in it and then jumps and becomes that fun cooked turkey body that we all know from doing such achievements as Friend of Fowl, but its a fun animation for the turkey to have, and I LOVE the turkey model for the game so I never did the above mentioned achievement, and I love the fact that I can have a turkey of my own now!

There is also a rumor or a new pet that will become available through UDE points (points you get when you buy packs of the trading card game), so when I find out more about that I will definitely pass the word on!

The perky pug that has been getting a lot of attention lately also has a new animation (see video here). I think its pretty funny that they added that new animation, and I will definitely be working my priestly butt off in the dungeon finder tool once its released! I hope that they have plans to add in more dog models also!

On the mount front, I recently obtained the awesome El Pollo Grande, also known as the Magic Rooster mount. He has an awesome idle animation as well, he cleans his wings and feathers like a real chicken would. I love him and he’s awesome.

There has also been confirmation that the newest armored frostwyrms that are to be added in patch 3.3 are going to be rewards from the 10 man meta raid achievement and the 25 man meta raid achievement from running the new Icecrown Citadel! The mount models can be found here (10 man version) and here (25 man version), and I cannot wait to get my hands on one of those frostwyrms. If you have seen the WotLK trailer (who hasn’t haha) you know just how fabulous of a mount that is and its VERY exciting that they have added this mount for people that don’t just arena to get as well!

Hope everyone has been enjoying the game lately and that they got everything they wanted out of Pilgrim’s Bounty. Winter Veil starts in a few weeks and while I got all the achievements from last year and am just waiting on the Lunar Festival and the Love is in the Air holiday to get my purple protodrake, I still love the games version of christmas and I will be getting my christmas presents from under the Ironforge tree on christmas day!

! yay!  I am actually very excited by this addition.  I enjoy getting the trading card game pets and mounts, so another way to get pets that aren’t in the game, which means less people have them, is very exciting!  I don’t like to grind that much, so not having to stake out a corner in which to get my pandaren monk to drop is VERY nice

I hope that they add in some hot mounts and more pets soon!

As for new pet news: Blizzard has introduced, or re-introduced, Mr. Chilly!  As long as you merge your WoW account with your battle.net account by November 11th, than you get this penguin promotional pet.  He is bound to account so you can send him to all of your current and new characters (although each current character has had it mailed to them so you can just delete all of them and keep one around for new characters).

Other news that I just found out: the doors of Zul’Aman can now be opened by one person.  Technically it is two as you need to be in a raid group to open the doors, but the second person doesn’t have to be with you to open the doors.  This means that all of us that either didn’t raid Zul’Aman or didn’t take advantage of the bug where you could just do /kiss to Prigmon than you got Mojo for free!  Alas, that bug was fixed and now you have to kill the trash mobs inside Zul’Aman to get them to drop hex sticks, which you then use on the frogs inside the raid and hopefully you will be graced with your own froggie Mojo.  Do /kiss to mojo for a special surprise!

Other than the Grunty and Mr. Chilly news I don’t have any new pet updates! I hope to obtain some new pets and mounts soon, I am working on the Argent Tournament and should be a Champion of Darnassus soon so I can get my heads on the Teldrassil Sproutling, I might not play as a Druid but I can appreciate a dancing and sleepy tree when I see one!

Warcraftpets has reported that Breanni, the pet store owner in Dalaran, will be selling (in unlimited quantities) a calico cat and an albino snake, when patch 3.3 hits the live servers!  They will be 50g each (before the faction discount).  I have a torti cat so I am VERY excited about the calico as it will be the closest coat color to her, and having a white snake with red eyes just sounds awesome!

I haven’t gotten any new pets or mounts in the game lately, but I plan to start spending an hour each day farming for some of the old world farmable pets; mainly the disgusting oozeling, the red, emerald, and dark whelplings, and the firefly from Zangarmarsh.  Some of these are needed because of the new achievement that was data-mined (from this awesome site!), as of right now it’s just a tracking system for those special pets, but I think we can all make the assumption that there is going to be some kind of fabulous pet associated with it, because the pets that are on that list are bit of a pain to get.  I am just happy that I FINALLY got my last crocolisk pet from Ol’ Man Barlo a few weeks ago.  I currently have 12 of the ones that are the list of that achievement, so that makes me a happy camper!

That’s about it for now. I ran Zul’Gurub the other night to try for the cat and raptor mounts from there, I duoed them with my husband, but alas we didn’t get them to drop. With a 0.7% and a 1% drop rate, respectively, I didn’t exactly expect it but it would have been awesome if it had!

I am just running heroics right now for triumph and conquest badges for gear and regular ToC until we are geared a bit to start heroic ToC for all those sweet sweet epics

All for now, have to go and work on my presentation for my current literature in forensics class.  One would think that a class with a title like that would mean I would be reading books a lot, but nope its presentations every week!

My real life name is Kelly and in World of Warcraft my name is Zaea.  I play a Night Elf Priest and I am level 80.  I have a bunch of alts but I can never seem to get past the 50′s with any of them so Zaea is my only 80.  I have put this blog together to mainly focus on the mounts and the non-combat/vanity pets in the game.  I know that there are a lot of good resources out there already, but I wanted to add my own voice to the mix.  This is not going to be a way to keep track of your pets and mounts, a good site to use for that is www.warcraftpets.com, www.warcraftmounts.com, or www.wowcollect.com.

I am going to mainly just be going over the pets that I love, the mounts that I can’t live with out, and provide information, tips, and tricks for finding these mounts and pets on your own!

This is my first post of my very first blog so I hope that you are not immediately turned off by what I’m writing and I will start on the pet and mount obsession soon!
